Emma Maxwell

Emma completed an MSc in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield in 2006 and worked as a Research Assistant and laboratory demonstrator in the Department of Biomedical Science at Sheffield until 2013 when she moved to Australia. She joined the Macrophage biology lab in 2022 to work on NHMRC-funded studies of mononuclear phagocyte biology in the rat. Emma has expertise in a range of cell and molecular biology techniques including tissue culture, protein purification, ELISAs and cell signalling assays.  She is currently working to produce monoclonal antibodies that target a range of proteins specifically expressed in rat macrophages.
